in sync provide a wide range of youth and family services across Kildare and West Wicklow.

Working Well Together

Experience tells us that everything is connected. We cannot help people without first understanding their family situation and wider community. Only then can things fall into place and real progress be made.

Our collaborative ways of working and close ties with our funders and partners mean we can arrive at sustainable solutions for all involved.

When that happens, we know we are doing our job because everything is in sync, everything is working well together.

History

The organisation was founded in the early 1970’s by volunteer youth club leaders concerned with the development of youth club support services throughout County Kildare.

Originally known as Kildare Federation of Youth Clubs, the name changed to Kildare Youth Services in 1986, reflecting a broadening of the work of the organisation. In 2020, following an inclusive consultation process we changed our name to in sync youth & family services

Our Vision and Mission

in sync strives towards a vision of an inclusive and just society where young people, children, and families are valued in their own right and are supported by their communities and by wider society to reach their full potential.

Our mission is to support young people, children, and families in Co. Kildare & West Wicklow to enable them to live a full and active life within their communities and society.

in sync is one of 21 locally-based services who are affiliated to Youth Work Ireland, which is a federation of independent local services across the country who work together to lobby, advocate and represent the voice of young people and families at a national level.
